Foundation documents explained
The documents that ground every draft — what each one is and how Launch OS uses it.
Foundation documents are the core context Launch OS reads whenever it writes for you or a client. They're created from your setup answers and live in the ★ Foundation section of your Knowledge Base. Keeping them current is the main way you control the quality of your drafts.

| Document | What it is | How Launch OS uses it |
|---|---|---|
| Voice profile | How the agency or a client sounds — tone, word choices, sentence style, point of view. | To write drafts that read like that voice rather than generic copy. |
| Company profile | What the company does, its history, and its niche. | To ground drafts in the real business and what it offers. |
| Ideal-customer profile (ICP) | Who the company is trying to reach — their situation, wants, and struggles. | To aim copy and strategy at the right audience. |
| Messaging framework | The core promise, positioning, and key messages. | To keep drafts consistent with the agency's or client's positioning. |
You can have more than one of some of these — for example, a second ICP for a different audience segment. To edit them, see Sharpen a voice profile and Add or update a client's context.
